The Lorax Blogpost

The Lorax can relate to what we’re trying to do in a couple of ways. First of all, I think the general connection is that the one seed that was planted in the middle of the town changed it forever. Even though Ted, the main character, first sought out a “real tree” so that he could impress his crush, he ended up planting a seed in the town for a larger purpose. He travelled outside of the town and saw the desolate wasteland left, and he was able to see a flaw in lives of the citizens of artificial Thneedville. In the end, he did something about the problem he saw. Similarly, the project we’re starting has to do with us finding a problem and doing something about it. Overall, we’re trying to improve our school. I think the movie was pretty enjoyable to watch. I remember reading the book as a kid, and watching it as a movie was entertaining.
